Oh hey pretty birthday baby, Neala, sitting so sweetly next to all those unwrapped presents. Let’s get you something to eat!
Neala’s mom, Annie, ordered a drop-off for her baby’s first birthday, where our team comes in and sets up a coursed out buffet for you on our own kraft paper or, in this case, on a cheerful tablecloth you provide.
Our drop-offs come in reusable, durable aluminum trays that our team can neatly unwrap for you, so it is ready for your guests to dive into.
We deliver our drop-offs hot, but they are designed to be equally yummy as they become room temperature. You can always reheat, but it is absolutely not necessary.
Lots of vegetarian options going on here, with a Ecology Platter as a side dish rather than an entree. This is a fun way to feature this platter because it bumps up the variety and color on a buffet, and it gives vegetarians a bountiful and filling option.
You can’t see here, but all of these roasted and raw vegetables and spreads are atop a bed of grains, so this platter really is a wholesome, gluten-free entree for healthy Angelenos.
Our grapefruit salad with endive spears, gem lettuces, fingerling potatoes, and blended fig vinaigrette is a nice alternative to a basic green salad.
Included is a meat dish to round up the buffet. Our pasture-raised chicken is sourced from Primal Pastures, a ranch I visited HERE.
For this party, there was no set meal time, guests continued to nosh throughout and the menu supported that, maintaining it’s beauty and texture as it invited eaters over for a few hours.
I had asked Annie if she had a theme for her baby’s birthday and she replied, “Sunshine!”. Lots of vegetables from our favorite local, small farms and chicken that lived their life in the sun, on pasture, felt like the food got to be part of the decor and the theme for this darling little party.
