Sometimes a bride is so organized, creative, and kind that I wish she’d ditch her husband and marry me, or at least come back after the honeymoon and ask if we are hiring. This has happened a couple of times, the latter of course.
Wow, what a diagram! I did not make it. Neither of our Catering Managers made it. Nor did Smog Design. The bride did. You see what I’m saying? You might ask if she is a graphic designer. Nope. She’s a popular novelist, and so is her husband so you might be as giddy as me when I say that their wedding took place at The Last Bookstore in downtown LA. Never been there? Oh, do make a point to visit. Every corner is filled with wonder, even the vault. It was a former bank.
Many bookshelves were pushed aside to make way for the dining area, but there is a whole other level where rows are color coordinated. It’s such a sight to behold.
Does it get any better? Yes, actually it does. The bride’s bouquet was everlasting paper flowers made from her husband’s first book. What? Yes. I told you. This is one original and thoughtful bride.
